Getting a website

Having a website is an essential part of running any business. It's imperitive your customers: can find you, understand what services you offer, know your service area, and know how to contact you... but getting a website live can be quite overwhelming.

You could hire a web designer to produce a one-of-a-kind user experience and a software engineer to build an ordering platform that works on all devices, but that would be expensive and excessive. Instead, you can launch a professional website for your dumpster rental company quickly and affordably by following the suggestions below. If you are willing to do the legwork yourself, you could launch a website with no upfront cost and a small monthly fee.

Setting up a simple site using the tools outlined below can probably be done in a couple hours. Simple tutorials can be found on YouTube walking you through the entire process. Once the site is launched, you don't need to spend any additional time maintaining it (though you may want to occasionally add more content to improve SEO).

What's the minimum I need?

Start building your dumpster company online prescence by following these steps:

  1. Sign-up with Wix, SquareSpace or WordPress and choose their cheapest package. These providers all include a domain (yourwebsite.com), pre-built themes with contact forms, and drag-and-drop editors so you can easily add your own text and photos.
  2. Optionally add on a custom email address (contact@yourwebsite.com) for an additional fee. These make your business look more permanent and professional than using a free Gmail account.
  3. On the homepage, be sure to include your service area, phone number and email address. You'd be surprised how often this is overlooked.
  4. Add additional pages for each town/county you service, and include specific terminology that your customers would be searching for (but don't make it un-natural).
  5. Add additional pages for each dumpster size you rent. Again, include keywords that customers would be Googling.
  6. Sign up with BinBooker and add a link on your new website so customers can securely order and pay online, using your actual dumpster inventory. It is best to put the link in the header so it appears on all pages.
